Some of my fav's
Here are a few cheap inexpensive products that I'm loving right now:
NYC's Sky Rise Mascara:
Suave Professionals SLEEK Shampoo:
NYC's Sky Rise Mascara:
purchased at Target; $1.79!!
Umm, all I can say is this mascara is AWE to the SOME!! I don't have natural long lashes, they're actually kind of stubby (ew, that sounds gross) and all I want a mascara to do is make me have long lashes. I don't think that's a hard request!? Some would work for the first few times, others would just do nothing. Even though $7-8 a tube isn't bad compared to paying professional brand price, a girl just gets tired of wasting money on product that doesn't work. I was perusing down the cosmetic isles (as I do ALOT :)) and this happened to catch my eye because of the price. I figured, for a $1.72, if it doesn't work, WHO CARES!! Luckily, it worked and still works! I am in love. And you cannot beat the price. Seriously!
purchased at Target; $2.89
I have serious wirey, annoying frizz hairs on the top of my head, not to mention my hair gets really damaged from constant blowdrying and Chi usage. This shampoo makes my hair feel much healthier without feeling greasy!

Because I'm crazy
So I have three cosmetic addictions.
1. Lip gloss (it's probably ridiculous how many I have)
2. Mascara
3. Nail polish (I can NEVER have enough nail polish. No really.)
Number 3 is what brings me to this random post. I have so many bottles that I have to keep going through my bin and see which ones I need to get rid of, have similar colors of, is too old, don't really use anymore etc. and the other day was one of those times.
I was on a cleaning/organizing kick and decided to color code and label my polishes. You'd think I was OCD or something. Sometimes I wonder...
But hey, now I don't have to dig for a certain color, I'll know right where it is :)
Maybe I should open a nail salon?? Lord knows I sure could stock one....

Weight Watchers: Update #2
I have hit -20 lbs!! :) :) :)
Three weeks ahead of my goal too. Score!
I am finally, once again in the 130's. I plan to continue and see exactly how much more I can lose. (Especially since we are planning for at least one more child sometime in the future, I want to be as lean as possible ;)) As for where I am currently, I really can't complain. I feel better, I surprisingly do feel more energized and most all of my clothes when I started, are waaaayyyy to big to even try to pull off as "comfy clothes". Holla!
And seriously, WW's has really been SO easy! I could kick myself for not doing this a long time ago....
Until next time!

Home Decor on a Budget
Being a SAHM, I've had to get a little more creative when it comes to decorating my home. The budget isn't what it used to be, and that's ok :)
Awhile back, we were at Ikea (hello, BEST home store E.V.E.R.!! I mean, it's like Disney World for the home, seriously) and I found some fabric that I just had to have. And to tell you the truth, I don't even know if I had anything specific in mind to use it for, I just wanted it. Obviously this was before having a child...now I must have a legit reason for purchasing everything, well most of the time anyway ;). Moving on, so, when we moved and I had to start decorating again I found the leftover fabric and put it to good use!
Here are some pics: (our office/guest/second bedroom)

I needed it, so I made it
Austin and I are always just throwing our keys on the island counter and I was tired of seeing the clutter. Not wanting to have to spend any money, I looked around my house to see what I could "transform". I found a small wipes case and some leftover damask fabric I had on hand, sat down and got to craftin'. I figured out a good way to make the fabric wrap without looking tacky or cheap, and even managed to make the corners into a decorative fold pattern...don't even ask how I did it, it just happened, lol. I lined the inside with black felt, and VOILA!! It's a perfect container for our keys and such. YAY for no more clutter on my counter!!!!
