...Still waiting...

Even though there's still about 2 1/2 hours left of today, I don't think Peyton will be here...lol. Waiting is NOT fun! My next doctor's appt is Thursday. Let's just hope she comes before then :)

Almost time!!

Had my weekly doctor's appointment today and she said that she thinks Peyton will come anyday now!! :) We're very excited!!

Please pray for steady and continual progress and for calmness for Austin and I. We all picked our dates for when we thought Peyton would come and I said the 24th, which is this Sunday....I'm thinking I may be right! We shall see...

38 weeks and 1 day

(37 week pic)

How far along: 38 weeks and 1 day

Total weight gain/loss: +20 lbs.

Maternity clothes: other than pj's, all maternity. It's all about comfort now!

Stretch marks: I see what *might* be a few around my belly button

Sleep: What's that?!? I toss and turn ALL NIGHT. Ugh. No position is comfortable.

Movement: Peyton's been pretty calm. She doesn't really have much room to move too much, so she squirms :)

Food cravings: None at all

Labor Signs: None...but I wish there were some!! As of my last appt this past Friday, I was 1 cm.

Belly Button in or out: The top of my button pokes out, it looks weird

What I miss: S.L.E.E.P (and I know even after Peyton comes, I still won't get any)

Weekly Wisdom: Prioritze. Don't let yourself get wrapped up in EVERYTHING that you think you should have...it's what you NEED!!

Milestones: Getting all of Peyton's things in order. Her nursery is DONE, her clothes are washed...carseat in the car! All we need is her!! :)

Peyton's Room: Update

Austin and I have been finishing up Peyton's nursery little bits at a time and I'm happy to say, I think we're pretty much done! We're just waiting on her glider (that her Grammy and Papa, Austin's parents, bought for her) to get here. I spent most of this past weekend washing all of her clothes, sheets, blankets, and washcloths. I packed my hospital bag and her baby bag. Austin installed her carseat in our car and even packed himself a "Daddy bag" :). I'd say we're ready for her!

^the glider will go on this wall, under the shelf

***Edit*** Here's her glider, we got it today! :)

Christmas 2009

We had a great Christmas this year, even though it got off to a little bit of a rocky start (with the robbery and such). We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas morning with my family in Orlando, and Christmas day and the rest of the weekend with Austin's family in Jacksonville. We were spoiled by our families (what's better?! :)) and had a great time enjoying quality time with one another. The topic of every conversation this year was how next year, and every year after that, is going to be SOO different...Peyton will be here! :) It was a really exciting realization. We'll all be watching HER open gifts next year, and taking HER picture in front of the tree. It's still so surreal!

After a fun packed long holiday weekend, we came back home that Sunday and settled back into "reality mode". That is so hard to snap out of after having such a great time off. It stinks really. lol.

Our New Year's was pretty uneventful. It was going to be just Austin and I, as we are not going to be going out of town anymore since Miss Peyton's arrival is so close, but Austin's brother and cousin decided they wanted to come visit :). We had fun just hanging out with them and visiting. The four of us had every intention of staying up to watch the ball drop. We even tried playing Monopoly..which you know goes on FOREVER! But around 11:15, we all decided we couldn't hold our eyes open any longer and went to bed. We're such party animals! lol.

I've been back to work for a week and a half now, and no more robberies! (They still have yet to catch the guy, and last week he robbed another bank!) The joke now b/w Austin and I is, if I can get through 1 day and not get robbed, it's a success. I'm glad we can laugh about it, no reason for me to live in fear everyday. One excellent result from that whole mess is, our branch has a guard all day, every day. Makes me feel 100% better! I've been keeping busy with branch closure procedures, and will continue up until Peyton comes or we close, whichever comes first!

December 21, 2009

December 21st. Just another normal day at work, nothing special, or so I thought.

Another teller and I were behind the teller line talking, neither of us had a customer, and she then turns to me and whispers, "Michelle, that guy looks like the robber!". (Now, let me tell you that several of our regular male customers that come in on a frequent basis, look like our lovely robber, and we had been saying "Ah, that guy looks like him!" several times...) I look up to see for myself and crap, it really does look like him. There we stand, waiting. The man proceeds to my window and, would you believe it, PASSES ME ANOTHER HOLD UP NOTE!!! IT WAS HIM, AGAIN!!! So, me, being the pro that I am now, give him the money in my top drawer as he requested. Diane meanwhile was watching the entire time and pushed her hold up alarm. I gave the guy the dye pack too (take that you jerk!) and he walks out just as if he had just cashed a check. I waited for him to get in his car and then went to go lock the front door...on my way back, I tripped and fell...ON MY STOMACH! Wonderful. I get up, I'm OK, at least I don't feel hurt. Cops get there, detectives get there, I go through the same process as the last time. (Geez, it's still weird to say that) I decided that even though I felt fine that it would be good to stop by my doctor just to make sure everything was OK, for my peace of mind. Austin and I end up going to the hospital because my doctors office doesn't have sonogram equipment. That little "just a sonogram" turned into me having to stay the night because it turned out that I was having some small contractions! (that I was NOT feeling at all!) I got to experience a little of what the labor process will be like, with getting an IV (NOT FUN!) and being hooked up to monitors. Long story short, the contractions stopped, Peyton and I were OK, and Austin and I got to leave the next morning.

I never want to get robbed again!!
