Mommy Advice
Yet again, We Peyton is deciding to take the more difficult route. The issue this time....baby food. She took to eating right off the bat. Whatever I gave her, she ate, even if she made a face. I should have known it wouldn't stay that way. Now, she has learned that if she doesn't like it, she can clamp her little mouth closed and keep it that way. She's even learned to fuss without opening it! (Little smarty pants) I don't want to force feed her because I don't want the "eating process" to have a negative association attached to it. I'm trying not to stress about it too much because I know her source of nutrients is from nursing, so atleast I don't have to worry about that. I've read that many babies just don't and won't ever care for "baby food" and once they can chew, just skip straight to "people food". I've also read that every baby is different and to keep trying and eventually they'll come around on their own time. I've been told to try blending whatever it is that Austin and I eat. Anyone have any advice? Is your little one a picky eater? What did you do to help the situation?

Try blending or processing what you and Austin eat. I've had some friends who only nursed until the baby was 12 mo. then started them on table food. It didn't do them any harm at all to strictly nurse for a year. You might want to quit with the baby food and try again in a month or so and see what she does. Kind of sounds like you have a strong-willed one! She'll be quite a challenge believe me! She'll eat when she gets hungry enough, don't fret over it too much.
Thanks! I'm trying not to, I do think I've got my work cut out for me with this one ;) haha
