Bullet Style
I decided to do this update in bullet points...much quicker, since my desire to update is severely diminishing
*Last Wednesday- Pretty exciting day to say the least. My branch got robbed, and you guessed it, I was the lucky teller that the robber chose. Yippee. It was the most unbelievable realization, it happened so fast I had no time to panic, I actually found myself asking myself "Seriously!?!?" Long story short, he was in and out in like 5 minutes (no one else in the branch even knew that I was robbed) and no one was hurt. They still have yet to catch him even though he wore no disguise!
*Sunday- Austin and I had our Childbirth Class. I thought Austin would leave that class scared to death, or at least scarred by some of the details that he would find out (haha), but he told me himself that he really enjoyed it and had a good time! Who knew?! I think it helped that we had a pretty cool teacher (who we found out was from Jax! Small world...) and a really fun class. We both got alot out of it and I'm really glad we did it, even though the thought of labor still freaks me out. Anyone want to do that part for me?? ;)
That night we went to our church's Christmas presentation. We have been getting to know a couple our age that live across the street from us and had invited them to come with us, and they did. I think they really enjoyed it, I know we did!
*This week- My doctor's office finally got back with me on my three hour glucose test results....and I am GOOD :) No gestational diabetes! Yay!
Work is nothing more than packing up retention and paperwork and cleaning out EVERYTHING (since we're closing...did I ever mention that?? If not, yeah, come January 29th, my branch will be closed. Fun times!). That's basically all my life will consist of at work until I have Peyton. Whoohoo.
*Pregnancy-wise- Three words: I am R-E-A-D-Y. I've had a great pregnancy so far, so I can't really complain...wait, yes I can, and I will. As of about two weeks ago, I'm just down right miserable. Sleep is torture and it's so sad because it's something I once looked forward to, lol. My hips hurt almost daily and there's nothing I can do (atleast not that I have found) to make the pain/achiness go away. I have been blessed enough to not have anything swell, until a few days ago. My poor beautiful tootsies have started to be slightly poofy at times :(. I've always been warm natured, but now the preggo hormones have turned up the thermostat! That was my rant. I just needed to get it all out :)
I've found myself saying that even though we don't have all the baby items we need, I would be perfectly fine if Miss Peyton decided to come now, lol. Austin and I are just so excited to be able to hold her and to see who she looks like!!
*This weekend- We're going to finish our Christmas present shopping Saturday and on Sunday we have our tour of the hospital's Labor and Delivery!! I am REALLY excited about that!! :)

Question for the Mommies out there
What is every one's take on infant vaccinations, as far as- all at one time or a few at a time?
I seem to be leaning towards the side of spreading them out....so that Peyton doesn't get like 5 at a time (while she is so little). If you did space them out, were your doctors acceptable of this or did you seem to meet some resistance?
I've got to pick a pediatrician, and it's hard. Especially when you're in a city that you did not grow up in/are not that familiar with. The few people that I know are fellow employees that either had their kids awhile ago or don't have any at all. I know it's good to interview your picks, but with my work schedule and the hectic-ness of the rest of the year (and my pregnancy!!) I don't think I'll have time!! I'm thinking about just picking one, so at least that's out of the way and then just seeing how it goes from there....any suggestions??

31 Week Update....thought it was time for another
How far along: 31 weeks and 3 days
Total weight gain/loss: 14 lbs.
Maternity clothes: pants- pretty much all maternity (I do have two pair of "normal" work pants that I love and still wear...I just can't button them, lol. shirts- mixture...I LOVE that fashion is on a preggo's side. If it's loose or flowy enough I wear it!
Stretch marks: still none...
Sleep: Ughhhh, it's happened. I do NOT sleep very well. Every position is down right uncomfortable, even at times painful! Between the tossing and turning and my arms falling asleep, I don't know which I love more :p Oh well, the price you pay!
Movement: All.the.time. It's more of a squirming now, instead of constant jabs. Poor baby is losing room! ;)
Food cravings: Still NONE. I'm boring.
Labor Signs: none. But I do have Braxton Hicks every now and then
Belly Button in or out: It depends on the day, lol. Some of it's in, but then some of it is out. Weird, I know
What I miss: Sleeping on my belly withOUT my arms falling asleep ALL THE TIME!
Weekly Wisdom: Prioritze. Don't let yourself get wrapped up in EVERYTHING that you think you should have...it's what you NEED!!
Milestones: Being in my THIRD trimester already!! AHHH I can't believe it!!
The Rumseys- Thanksgiving 2009
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend! We spent Wednesday night through Friday evening in Orlando with my family and Friday eveing through Sunday with Austin's. Austin, my sister Amanda and other sister Sarah's boyfriend Josh, ran in a 5k Turkey Trot bright and early Thanksgiving morning.
Then everyone got cleaned up and ready for Thanksgiving lunch! Yum :) The food was wonderful (as always), we all ate too much (as we should!), and we all enjoyed spending time talking and catching up with eachother.
On to Jacksonville! We had a great time there as well. Saturday morning I met up with my best girlfriend, Jenn. She left her precious baby girl with her Daddy so that we could catch up on some quality girl time!! (Which is ALWAYS needed!) After Starbucks for coffee, pedicures and a little store hopping, we parted ways.
Later that day, Austin, his Dad and brother headed to the woods for "man time" and I hit the outlets with Mom Rumsey and Lisa! Whoohoo...can never shop too much! lol. I got a small bit of Christmas shopping accomplished, which was good, because Austin nor I had started yet! :/ I was preeetttyyy pooped by the time we got home that night. WHEW! Traffic was HORRIBLE coming home Sunday afternoon...but I guess that should be expected on the last day of a long weekend. Doesn't mean I have to like it!! ;) All in all...GREAT GREAT GREAT Turkey Day!

......
Hello all!!
I'm making this update a quick one.
Our first shower in Jacksonville was AWESOME!! It's soo great to have such an amazing family that makes us feel so loved! Peyton make out like a bandit...her clothes collection is growing! lol. I can't expect anything different for my little girl, she will take after her mommy, who has a closet full ;) We had a GREAT time!!
My tellers at my branch threw me a suprise shower. Last Friday, I met up with who I thought was only going to be my tellers and it turned out that several other ladies from some of our other branches were there too!!! It was so great, my girls were able to keep it a secret and I had no idea!! I love those girls!!! :)
I had a doctors appt today. I have gained 14 lbs so far...my doctor seems pleased with that number, so I am too. The real challenge will be from this point on!! I found out that I just barely failed my first glucose test. My doctor went over my result number and it was just over the passing mark...drat! Good news is, even though I have to take the 3 hr test, my doctor said that she's almost 100% positve that I'll pass this next one. Yay :) Everything else looked great and we got to hear Peyton's heartbeat and it was nice and strong! I made an appt to get some 4D ultrasounds next Saturday!!! I'm so excited to see who/what our little one looks like!!! :)
We're headed to Orlando tomorrow after work for Thanksgiving, then are spending the rest of the weekend in Jacksonville. Gotta travel while I still can! lol.
Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!!!!

We're baaaccckkkk!!
Welp, we survived an 11 hour drive back home yesterday :/...we won't be doing that again any time soon, that's all I'm sayin'.
We did had a great time in the mountains though! It wasn't cold like we thought it might be but the weather was gorgeous nontheless. So I was happy, no hot weather :). Austin and I both agreed that we got Gatlinburg out of our systems for quite some time. Neither of us remember it being so touristy and tacky. Maybe that's because we were both young and tons of tee shirt shops and mini golf places were intriging at that time? lol. We did do Ripley's. I know know, that is pretty tacky, AND I've gone through that one before, but what can I say, I still find it fun! ;) It was nice to get away from everyday life and work and just enjoy sleeping in and doing whatever we wanted, just us two. This was our last trip as a family of TWO...next time we'll have Peyton :).
All in all, great little getaway. I would definately suggest doing a "babymoon", you need to spend one last "hoorah" as just husband and wife because before too long, it won't be about just the two of you anymore!
In other news, my doctor called me on our last day away to inform me that I did NOT pass my one hour glucose test and that, yes, I now have to take the THREE hour test. Not.happy. I was so upset! I HATE needles (as I have made sure to inform you, lol) and this time I get to be stabbed five times, count 'em, FIVE times in three hours. NOT.HAPPY. So, I pouted about it for the rest of that afternoon, and maybe a little the next morning, lol, and then decided that whatever the outcome, I'll be fine. God is in control and there's nothing else I can do but trust in Him. I would covet your prayers that this next go around I pass with flying colors, as I do not want to have to worry with all the complications and details that go along with having gestational diabetes. And also that the whole gettingmyblooddrawnthing goes as pleasantly as possible. I don't have the appt scheduled yet but praying ahead of time is always good :)
Our first shower is this Saturday, in Jacksonville. Austin's side of the family is throwing it for us and I'm really excited! We have something scheduled every weekend this month! If that's not going to make time fly by even faster, I don't know what is! I go back to work tomorrow, and it's such a lovely thought to know that I only have TWO days of work this week and then I'm off again for the weekend...ahhhh vacations.
Hope everyone enjoyed their Veteran's Day off! (if you had the day off)

Quickie
Just a quick update...
My birthday weekend was by far, the BEST I've had so far! :) Austin and I had a great time spending time with our families, putting Peyton's room together, and ofcourse celebrating the Gator's win over Georgia ;). Her room looks GREAT and it's (still) not even completely done! I just LOVE how it's turning out!
Today, Austin and I started out on our "Babymoon". We're taking a mini vacation (from now until Tuesday) to Gatlinburg :). We both wanted to go somewhere that "felt" and "looked" like fall and we love the mountains, so we thought Gatlinburg was perfect! I had to work this morning so we stopped outside of Atlanta for the night, but first thing in the AM we are finishing the drive! It's already chilly here in ATL, so I'm really looking forward to this weather the rest of the trip!! :)
Hope everyone has an awesome weekend! As soon as I get home I'll post pictures from my birthday and from our trip!!!

26 Week Picture
I haven't put a full preggo pic up yet, so I figured I'd start with this one. This was taken this past Saturday (my 26 week mark) on our way to our anniversary dinner at Burn's Steakhouse :) It was a delish dinner, as always, and we had a great time. This was our last anniversary "just us" so we soaked it all in. Amazing to think that this time next year, we'll have an eight month old baby in tow!! WOW. God has been so good to us, and I just can't wait to see what else will unfold for our family.
This Saturday is my 25th birthday! Yet another crazy happening. I remember talking with girlfriends in highschool and imagining what life would be like at this point. I cannot believe I am here already. I'm blessed to say, this is about where I hoped/prayed I would be. Not everything in life goes as planned but I couldn't imagine things being any different! :) For my birthday, we have my family and Austin's parents coming into town for the day to celebrate. We'll be spending the day painting and putting together Peyton's room (YAY!!) and ofcourse, watching the big Gator game. (GOOOO GATORS!!) I'm SOOO looking forward to this weekend and spending it with our families, that's my favorite thing to do! :)
I have my glucose test next Wednesday...not thrilled about that, AT.ALL. Pray that it goes smoothly and well!!! I hate hate HATE being stuck with needles (I've avoided it until getting pregnant!!). Then again, I don't know of anyone that enjoys it but I'm a really big baby when it comes to that. So your prayers would be greatly appreciated!!
We got the changer/dresser in about a week ago so Austin went ahead and put it together to make sure everything was intact. He did such a good job! He is quite the handyman...whether he admits to it or not! ;) That's about all I have for now...I will leave you with some pictures of his building process. (I'll update again after my bday weekend!!)

Nursery To-Do List
pick paint color(s)
glider/rocker
It seems that every nursery decision has been a hard one. I don't know why, I'm not an indecisive person, it just seems that there was a problem with every choice that I had to make. Ugh!
Maybe because I want everything to be just right?? More than likely.
Needless to say, we did choose and order the crib and furniture (I thought I would never find what I wanted!), pick/order the bedding, and have started to buy random nursery decorations. We are getting somewhere!! lol.
Now the challenge at hand is choosing a paint color! The bedding I chose has several colors in it but the colors that pop out the most are a really light aqua and orange. So we went to Home Depot yesterday and picked out sample colors of aqua and orange to test at home. I know, you're thinking orange!?! But we're talking a very light/sheer orange, more light sherbet....too bad the color we chose is a bit much. Here are the two colors we've slapped on the wall.....
Everyone's opinions/ideas would be greatly appreciated! :)
Other than that, we had a nice "cool front" come through Tampa this weekend and it feels GREAT!!! We even had our front door open (screen door closed, don't worry! ;))last night while we did some things around the house. If only it could stay this way. With it being Florida I know it won't, but I'll sure enjoy it while it's here!! :)
Gonna go enjoy the rest of my Sunday evening before work comes in the morn :p

Preggo Update...
(24w4d)
How far along: 24 weeks and 4 days
Total weight gain/loss: well, I lost 7 lbs in the beginning and as of my last appt. gained 4...so I'm still -3 :)
Maternity clothes: It's a mixture of my regular clothes with some maternity mixed in. The key is, as long as the pants are low, they will fit. My most of my work pants were the first to go..can't fit across the belly!
Stretch marks: none...but I'm not going to hold my breath
Sleep: I have always been a tummy sleeper. Obviously, that could not last. I have still managed to sleep on my tummy but to the side and be somewhat comfortable. We'll see how long this lasts, lol
Movement: TONS! I first felt Peyton around 17 wks and have felt her every day since...and it gets stronger and stronger! She really reacts when Austin talks to her :)
Food cravings: Hmm, not really "cravings"...but my drink of choice when out has come to be any kind of lemonade and my love for frozen cokes has magnified (I limit myself! Don't worry!) I haven't had any food wants
Labor Signs: none. But I do have Braxton Hicks every now and then
Belly Button in or out: I have an innie and it's still an innie...it's getting shallower (is that even a word??) by the day though...
What I miss: Weirdly enough, I kind of miss having a flat tummy! I'm still getting used to looking in the mirror and having my belly poking out!
Weekly Wisdom: Hmmm, I don't really think I have anything for this one yet
Milestones: Having my belly finally "pop" (around 21 wks or so)and feeling Peyton move. That made pregnancy a little more "real" :)

Nursery Progression
We have officially started the process this afternoon! Stage one is to move our office (which was in our guestroom/now nursery) into our bedroom. Thanks to my awesome husband, that is now complete!
We found an awesome white desk at Ikea (my FAV store!) that matches our bedroom furniture....it looks pretty darn good in there if I do say so myself! :) This project will more than likely take up our weekends until we are done!
We are going to have a "Nesting Party" for my birthday. Both of our families are coming down and are going to help with putting the nursery together, and ofcourse, to celebrate my birthday :) That's when all the fun decorating will go down...what I'm looking forward to the most!!
Austin and I finally found the perfect nursery bedding. I got it Thursday and I LOVE it!! It took me a little while to decide on what "style" I wanted for her nursery. I already knew that I wasn't going to do the traditional "baby look" with animals or characters. I ended up with a colorful modern/funky look. Very bright and happy :) I searched online forever for just the "right one" and when I found it, I managed to see it on another website for HALF THE PRICE!! Great deals make me so happy :D (here it is)
Peyton has been quite active. Ever since I first felt her move, (which was around my 17th week) I have felt her every single day since. Austin loves to feel her kick too. It's neat to be able to share that with him. Every little kick is a constant reminder of my soon-to-be new job and I love it :)
Other than that, the Rumsey household has been pretty quiet. Austin doesn't travel at all this month, so I will have him home with me everyday :). I think we may be going to Halloween Horror Nights this coming weekend, so I'm kind of looking forward to that!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!!

It happened!!!!!
I "officially" felt Bean move!!! (17w6d)
I've been waiting and waiting, and it finally happened last night! I'm so happy :) I've actually felt this feeling a few random times before but I could never decide if it was the baby or my tummy. Austin and I were just relaxing in the livingroom, watching tv, I was laying on my back and all of a sudden felt a little flutter, then two more! For about another 30 minutes or so they were on and off. It was so weird to go from nothing to something! It was SO neat though! I can't wait for Austin to be able to feel them ;)
Oh, and Happy 18 weeks to Bean! He/she's the size of a sweet potatoe this week :)

::Sigh::
Welp, I've returned from a lovely weekend at the beach! It was VERY hard to come back...I even tried convincing Austin that we should both quit our jobs and just stay there ;). Needless to say, that didn't fly.
We had SO much fun! We drove down (over?) Friday night after I got off of work, got there around 9:30. Slept in Saturday morning, had breakfast at the cafe there, and hit the beach for a few hours. It was AWESOME weather! There was a constant breeze so it was never sweltering. We played in the water and Austin tried to look for sand dollars, and had no luck :(. After we'd had enough sun, we showered and hit St Armand's Circle for some late lunch, shopping, and ice cream! We had lunch at The Columbia. I had this interesting salad, that all it consisted of was red onions and tomatoes with a balsamic vinaigrette, YUM!
Afterwards, we walked the circle looking at all of the cute shops and ended the afternoon with some ice cream at Ben and Jerry's.
That evening, we were bored so we headed over to an outlet mall. We did some damage (as I ALWAYS can, especially at the outlets!). I got my first few pieces of maternity clothes! Austin waited outside my fitting room as I showed him everything I tried on...he got a kick out of the strap-on belly they give you to use with the clothes, lol. My pants have started to get a *tad* bit uncomfortable, so I wanted to go ahead and get some pants so I'm not stuck when I can't wear my normal ones anymore!! I was telling Austin that shopping in a maternity store makes me feel so old! I don't know why...
Anyhoo, we left late this morning and before heading home, I took Austin by my old house, when we lived in Bradenton. It's always fun to go back and see how things change, and it was especially neat to do it with him :). So now, I sit here, back at home, dreading the work week....with my head POUNDING. Arg, the one complaint I have with pregnancy. I guess since I skipped the morning sickness I had to get something lol.
OH! One more tidbit of info: At my drs appt last week they gave me my referral to make *THE* u/s appointment! YAY! So August 31st at 3:00 we find out if Bean's a girl or boy! These next 7 days better FLY!!! :)

Running away....
to Longboat Key!
Austin and I are escaping to Longboat Key for the weekend! I LOVE Longboat Key....and I figured now would be probably the last time this body sees the sun, in a bathing suit. lol It might be scary if I wait too much longer! Now that we have a bun in the oven, we are trying to squeeze in as many trips as we can. I can't wait to relax with my hubby...ahhhhhhhhh :)
Hope everyone has a quick and painless Friday and has a great weekend. I'll recap Sunday night with pictures!!
Toodles! :)

Baby items...
This weekend, Austin and I went to Babies R Us to pre-plan what we want to register for. (Yes, I understand we are a little early in this, but hey, we're excited!) We pretty much just browsed the entire store, tested out strollers and carseats, and looked at nursery furniture. There are SOOO many decisions!! We narrowed down the nursery furniture to two styles and I think we *may* have decided on a stroller/carseat pattern/brand, yay!
Here are the two crib styles, we are going with white furniture...
Here's the stroller/carseat combo we really like so far...(Graco Metrolite: Utopia)
We're still early in but it doesn't hurt to be prepared!!! (Not to mention, it's fun!! ;))
